Gen continues her consulting practice by working closely with health care professionals to foster a culture of excellence and develop structures and processes that support achieving ANCC Magnet Recognition®, Pathways to Excellence® (PTE®), and Practice Accreditation Programs® (PTAP®) designations. She has extensive expertise in all phases of the Magnet® and PTE® journey, including readiness assessments, shared governance development, document strategies, site visit preparation, and professional development programs. Gen is the author of Feel the Pull: Creating a Culture of Nursing Excellence and co-author of Shared Governance Strategies that Work. She is a sought-after keynote speaker and is proud to have helped 100% of the organizations she’s partnered with successfully achieve their initial Magnet designation or re-designation. In addition to her Magnet and PTE work, Gen has a strong background in Nursing Professional Development, including transition to practice, articulating outcomes, and strategic planning.
