Hospice (RN) Per Diem/Weekend New

We also serve as a resource for loved ones as they go through their own emotional journeys, make important decisions, and learn how to best care for their families during this time. Responsibilities

• Initiate appropriate preventative nursing procedures and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician in the physician’s plan of care
• Counsel the patient and family in meeting nursing and related needs
• Assist the patient with daily living activities and facilitate the patient’s efforts toward self-sufficiency and optional comfort care
• Communicate with the physician regarding the patient’s needs and report changes in the patient’s condition; obtain and receives physician’s orders as required
• Provide direct hospice care with an emphasis on community health education and experience, and maintain a safe environment for the patient
  
  

Qualifications

• Primary series of the COVID-19 vaccine required
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current, unencumbered active license to practice as an RN in the state of Rhode Island
• CPR certification required
• Bachelor’s degree with one (1) year of hospice care, long-term care, or ICU experience required
• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured by state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order
