Position Description

PART-TIME RN OR LPN TO WORK WITH AN ORAL SURGERY TRAVEL TEAM. TRAVEL WITHIN THE BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS TERRITORIES radius as 60 miles radius as from Boston. MUST HAVE OWN TRANSPORTATION.

MUST BE CREDENTIALED TO:

BLS/ACLS CERTIFICATION CURRENT

TB, MMR AND HEP B CURRENT

START IVs

TO DRAW AND PUSH MEDS (Level II – V MEDS/Narcotics) UNDER DOCTOR SUPERVISION

MONITOR PATIENTS WHILE IN ORAL SURGERY

THIS IS AN EARLY MORNING START (I.E: 6AM) AND FINISHED EACH DAY WHEN PATIENT CENSUS IS COMPLETED.

Responsibilities to also include:

Intake/ Pre-assessment of patient H&P

Assist in quarterly Emergency Drills

EMR documentation (currently use EPIC (Dental version for charting) and HERCULES (NEW anesthetic record)

Start and End of Day Drug counts/ Log(s)

Assisting in patient discharge

Family/driver communications

NO after hour call or hospital work/call

NO OVERNIGHT travel is required.

Expect to work 14-16 days per month
